New Policy Issued for CQC-TEST SAMPLE

To assure the effectiveness, consistency and traceability of the testing result for household appliances, CHINA QUALITY CERTIFICATION CENTRE (CQC) announces a new policy for CQC-TEST SAMPLE, which are used for CCC compulsory certification and CQC voluntary certfiication. It became effective starting from 2008-04-20.  

A) Main contents of new policy:

- Tested sample will be sealed by CQC and taken back by manufacturer or factory
- Storage in Approbation department of manufacturer or factory
- The use of Sealed CQC-TEST SAMPLE must be recorded and reported to CQC

B) Product Categories affected by the policy:

- electric fan（0702）
- household washing machines（only twin-tub type）（0705）
- storage water heater（0706）
- instantaneous water heater（0706）
- room heater（0707）
- vacuum cleaner（0708）
- appliances for skin and hair care（0709）
- electric iron（0710）
- electromagnetic cookers（0711）
- rosters and similar appliances（0712）
- electric food processor（0713）
- microwave ovens（0714）
- cooking ranges and similar appliances（0715）
- range hoods（0716）
- appliances for heating liquids（0717）
- electric rice cookers（0718）
- water dispenser（0717）
**- accessories of electrical appliance （002） and nonmetallic material（134） are also requested to be in compliance with the new policy.
