A market surveillance* for Household and Similar Electrical Appliance - Washing Machine was performed in Shanghai during the second quarter of 2009 in accordance with relevant Standards GB 4706.1-1998, GB4706.24-2000, GB 4706.26-2000, GB/T4288-2003 and GB12021.4-2004. Totally 10 batches were inspected and the qualification rate was only 40%. The nonconformities found concentrated on three aspects:
1) cleaning ratio;
2) power consumption;
3) efficiency class.
