Ventilating fan for household and similar purposes - 2008

A municipal market surveillance* for ventilating fans was performed in Shanghai during the first quarter of 2008 in accordance with National Standards GB4706.1-1998 and GB4706.27-2003.

Totally 18 types were inspected and qualified products were 14 types. The qualification rate is approx.77.8%. The nonconforming items mainly concentrate on 5 items: protection against access to live parts; abnormal operation; internal wiring; provision for earthing; resistance of insulating material to abnormal heat, to fire and to tracking.
