Ventilating fan for household and similar purposes - 2009

A municipal market surveillance* for ventilating fans was performed in Shanghai during the last quarter of 2009 in accordance with National Standards GB4706.1-2005 and GB4706.27-2008.

Totally 21 batches were inspected and qualified products were 17 batches. The qualification rate is approx.81%. The nonconforming items mainly concentrate on 7 items:

- marking and instructions
- protection against access to live parts;
- leakage current against electric strength;
- supply connection and external flexible cords;
- construction;
- internal wiring;
- provision for earthing;
