Market Surveillance for Product -
Self-Ballasted Fluorescent Light - 2008
A municipal market surveillance* for Self-Ballasted Fluorescent Light was performed in Shanghai during the second quarter of 2008 in accordance with National Standards GB 16844-1997, GB 19044-2003 and GB/T 17263-2002.
Totally 45 batches of types of products were inspected and qualified products were 36 batches. The qualification rate is approx.66.7%. The nonconforming items mainly concentrate on 7 items:
1) Lumen maintain;
2) Dimension;
3) Mechanical strength;
4) Harmonic;
5) Watts, Initial Efficacy/Lumens;
6) Color rendering index;
7) MEPS;
Measures adopted (partial) by the Administrative Department:
- Withdrawal from the market
- Corrective Actions must be taken in a limited period and will be supervised by local administrative departments.
