Portable socket-outlets for household and similar purposes - 2008

A municipal market surveillance* for the portable socket-outlets was performed in Shanghai during the first quarter of 2008 in accordance with National Standards GB2099.1-1996, GB2099.3-1997 and GB1002-1996.

Totally 48 types were inspected and qualified products were 32 types. The qualification rate is approx. 66.7%. The nonconforming items mainly concentrate on the items: marking, terminals, construction, temperature rise, flexible cable and their connection, resistance of insulating material to abnormal heat, to fire and to tracking.
