Market Surveillance for Product -

Electric Rice Cooker- 2008

A municipal market surveillance* for Electric Rice Cooker was performed in Shanghai during the second quarter of 2008 in accordance with National Standards GB 4706.1-1998 and GB4706.19-2004.

Totally 26 batches were inspected and the qualification rate is 80.8%. The nonconforming items mainly concentrate on 5 items:

1) Power Input and current;
2) Abnormal operation;
3) Supply connection and external flexible cords;
4) Provision for earthing;
5) Screws and connections.
