Electric Fan - 2009

A municipal market surveillance* for Electric Fan was performed in Shanghai during the second quarter of 2009 in accordance with National Standards GB 4706.1-2005 and GB4706.27-2008.

Totally 45 batches of electric fans were inspected and the qualification rate is approx. 88.9%. The nonconforming items mainly concentrate on 7 items:

1) Protection against access to live parts;
2) Abnormal operation;
3) Stability and mechanical hazards.
4) Internal wiring
5) Supply connection and external flexible cords
6) Terminals for external conductors
7) Resistance to heat and fire

- Corrective Actions to the above nonconforming items must be taken in a limited period and will be supervised by local administrative departments.
