A market surveillance* for Water Heater was performed in Shanghai during the final quarter of 2008 in accordance with relevant Standards GB 4706.1-2005, GB 4706.11-2004, GB 4706.12-2006 and GB/T 20289-2006.

Totally 23 batches were inspected and the qualification rate is 73.9%. The nonconforming items mainly concentrate on 4 items.

1) Protection against access to live parts
2) Power Input and Current
3) Supply connection and external flexible cords
4) Provision for earthing
