Market Surveillance for Product -

DVD Player - 2008

A municipal market surveillance* for DVD Player was performed in Guangdong Province during the second quarter of 2008 in accordance with National Standards.

Totally 84 batches of types of products were inspected and qualified products were 36 batches. The qulified rate was 42.9%. The nonconforming items mainly concentrate on those items in relation with Safety and EMC like.

* EMC - Interference characteristic

* Safety - Marking and Instructions; Provision of Electric Shock; Clearances and Creepage Distances

Measures adopted (partial) by the Administrative Department:

- Promulgating the surveilliance's result, especially those factories, which made products with serious quality problem

- Corrective Actions must be taken in a limited period and will be supervised by local administrative departments.
